COVID-19: Cases Reach 164,684 In Nigeria

COVID-19 cases in Nigeria has increased by 51, making a total of 164,684 confirmed cases in the country.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) disclosed this in its daily report on Saturday, 24th April 2021.

The breakdown of the infection as recorded today are as follows:

Yobe -19, Lagos -17, Rivers -8, FCT -4, Akwa Ibom -2 and Bayelsa -1

Since the outbreak in February 27, 2020, a total of 2,061 persons have lost their lives to the virus while 154,687 have recovered and have been discharged.

Meanwhile the National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA) says 1,167,837 persons have received their first jab, which is equivalent to 58% of the eligible Nigerians that ought to be vaccinated.

NPHCDA in its COVID-19 Vaccination Update for 24th April 2021, said the vaccinated persons are from the 36 States and the FCT of the country.
