COVID-19: Nigeria Records 37 New Cases, Infection Hits 165,419

Nigeria’s COVID-19 cases has increased by 37, making a total of 165,419 confirmed cases in the country.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) made this known in its daily report on Sunday, May 9th, 2021.

Here’s the breakdown of today’s report:

Yobe (13), Lagos (12), Akwa Ibom (6), FCT (3), while Edo, Kaduna, and Ogun recorded 1 case.

However, a total of 2,065 persons have lost their lives to the infection while 156,297 have recovered and have been discharged.

Meanwhile, the National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA) stated that its team has vaccinated a total of 1,665,698 persons across the country.

NPHCDA disclosed this in its COVID-19 Vaccination Update for May 9th, 2021.
