This measure might be as a result of the status of Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari, Abba Kyari, who has tested positive for the virus.
Apart from Kyari, Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, has also tested positive for the disease.
Osinbajo attended several State House events last week, including the Federal Executive Council Meeting on Wednesday, which was also attended by Kyari and chaired by President Buhari.
He also chaired a National Economic Council (NEC) meeting last week which had Mohammed in attendance.
Nigeria has recorded 44 confirmed cases of the disease so far. Two have have been discharged after testing negative while there’s been one death.
