Newly appointed African representative and non –executive director to high- flying Cyprus second division professional side, Athletikos Omilos Ayia Napa FC, Prince Dapo Ajibade, has finally broken his silence since receiving the top job.
In a brief chat with Aledeh.com, the astute sports administrator confirmed the appointment while also reiterating that it is another landmark achievement into getting closer to his dream and strong resolve to help in developing Nigerian sports from the grassroots.
“We are not there yet, so I don’t want to get carried away or rest on my oars until I see my vision to help develop Nigeria sports from the grassroots begin to yield the desired results, begins the former Sunshine Stars of Akure Chairman.
“This is however a very good opportunity to realizing such ambition and I wish to thank Athletikos for the confidence reposed in me by giving me the chance to serve the club and to serve Nigerian and African greatly talented youngster, that have been craving for the opportunity to advance their sports careers.
“We will continue to work hard and in line with our developmental objectives irrespective of where we find ourselves, he concluded.
Prince Ajibade, the current CEO, Kanu Nwankwo International Football Academy, KIFA, Africa’s largest football academy, is vested with the responsibility of scouting players from Africa as well as negotiating deals on behalf of the club with potential sponsors and investors, as stated in his appointment letter signed by the Cyprus side CEO, Russell Horsley.
Recall that Prince Ajibade was last month nominated into the board of Lagos state triathlon association by the state sports commission.
