Hospital workers in Edo State have protested the non-payment of their salaries for three months, after being dismissed from work.
The workers were at the Hospital Management Board Complex, near the Edo State House of Assembly on Tuesday to complain about the abandonment by the Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki.
In a video, the workers were seen calling on the governor to give them what they worked for and deserve.
They said N8bn was allocated for COVID-19 in Edo State, and their salaries are not up to N500million.
The protesters asked that their entitlements be given to them, as they will not stop seeking their rights, if they are not treated fairly.
According to the workers, they were employed to work to aid response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
