Highly rated Everton forward, Ademola Lookman, is considering switching his international allegiance to Nigeria having already represented England at youth level, a report has said.
Lookman, 19, who was born in England to Nigerian parents, hasn’t represented the Three Lions yet, which still makes him eligible to play for Nigeria’s Super Eagles.
“An announcement will be made soon, I’m close to his management and they have confirmed that he has made the decision,” an inside source revealed to a respected Nigerian news platform.
Officials of the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, have been trying to woo the immensely talented Lookman since his emergence on the big stage.
Still just a teenager, Lookman is already attracting interest from top European teams from outside England.
Everton, knowing his quality, fought off every attempt to sign the teenager over the summer.
