Ex LASIMRA Boss, Jide Odekunle Dies Of COVID-19

Jide Odekunle, a former General Manager of the Lagos State Infrastructure Maintenance and Regulatory Agency (LASIMRA) has died of COVID-19.

Odekunle who served during the Akinwunmi Ambode administration died as a result of COVID-19 complications.

He died at the Onikan Isolation Centre on Saturday where he was receiving treatment.

Special Adviser to the President on Political Matters, Babafemi Ojudu confirmed Odekunle’s death via a Facebook post while Joe Igbokwe, the Special Adviser to the Lagos State government on drainages also confirmed his demise.

“I am diminished once again as a mortal as my successor at LASIMRA, Jide Odekunle, dies of COVID-19 complications at the Onikan Isolation Centre in Lagos. May his soul rest in perfect peace,” Igbokwe wrote.

Odekunle studied Computer Science and graduated from the University of Ibadan. He was the Bobagunwa of Egbaland before his death.
