Ex-Super Eagles Goalkeeper Becomes First African Coach To Win Silverware In Europe

Ndubuisi Emmanuel Egbo has become the first African coach to win a trophy with a European club.

Egbo led the club he represented as a player, FK Tirana to Albanian league success over the weekend.

A former Super Eagles goalkeeper, he was at the 2000 African Cup of Nations jointly hosted by Ghana/Nigeria.

He is one of many Nigerian and African coaches managing teams in Europe.

Other notable Nigerians who have managed different sides in Europe are Daniel Amokachi who worked with a Finnish club and Sunday Oliseh, who managed Dutch Eerste Divisie side, Fortuna Sittard.

Egbo has been congratulated by many Nigerians for his record making heroics.
