Officials of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission(EFCC) are at loggerheads with the Ag. Chairman of the commission, Ibrahim Magu, ALEDEH has exclusively gathered.
The disquiet in the EFCC was steered by the deployment of over 100 fresh, inexperienced graduates of the Police Academy to the anti-graft agency.
Core officials of EFCC have expressed their displeasure with Magu’s decision to bring in Police cadets to the commission where a high premium is placed on experience.
”The people in the job are already complaining bitterly about Magu,” ALEDEH gathered from a reliable source.
There are indications that petitions will be filed to the Presidency against Magu.
The deployment of the cadet Police officers to the EFCC is believed to have been approved by the former Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris.
This is a developing story.
