French Ligue 1 giants, Paris Saint Germain have announced Thomas Tuchel as their new manager.
The capital club, whom Arabian billions have given a new lease of life have turned the Ligue 1 to an almost no-contest affair, winning with great consistency and display. Behind the strings of great performances are Brazilian star boy, Neymar, on-loan Kylian Mbappe, Marco Veratti, Edinson Cavani and others who have made the team almost iinvincible at home.
Despite great local success, the team’s owners dream of someday lifting the UEFA Champions League has been at an arms’ length. Carlo Ancelotti managed the team with great success but could not achieve the team’s primary objective with Spanish tactician, Unai Emery succeeding him with their serial domestic success.
Eyes of the Le Parisiens fans might have rolled with the choice of Tuchel, deemed by many as a young, vibrant and brilliant manager, but ends at his brilliance with no huge successes yet.
Another argument against the choice of Tuchel remains his ability to manage egos in the team with Emery fighting same devil at some point. Wherever he leads them, his intelligence of football is undoubtable but the same questions of having enough gusto to lead an army of exposed and sometimes egotistical professionals pop up as he heads into Paris.
