Nigerian hip-hop artist, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has reacted to allegations that he was involved in the death of his friend, Umueke Tagbo.
ALEDEH recalls that the “Fall” crooner was re-invited for questioning by the Lagos State Police Command on Wednesday over Tagbo’s death.
The development came after a postmortem conducted on late Tagbo revealed he died of suffocation.
The Acting Commissioner of Police in the state, Edgal Imohimi who confirmed the autopsy on Wednesday, said the late Tagbo took 40 shots of Tequila at Shasha Bar in Lekki.
After the incident, Tagbo’s body was found in a Toyota Camry in front of the Lagos Island General Hospital, a situation which generated a lot of controversies on social media, with actress Caroline Danjuma accusing Davido on social media network, Instagram of being responsible for the death of Tagbo.
The award-winning musician was quizzed following the revelation by the CCTV footage that he and his friends dumped Tagbo in the car and ran away.

Apparently displeased by the news circulating online that he was involved in Tagbo’s death, Davido took to social media to react to the matter.
The singer said he was quiet because of the respect he has for his late friend and his family, adding that a statement will be issued soon by his camp regarding the incident.
Davido wrote: “Lies everywhere due to respect for Tagbo and his family, I haven’t spoken about this issue since.
“Soon a statement and footage will be released, enough is enough.
“God bless you guys!!! everyone be safe.
“My heart is pure and the world knows, please God keep my heart the same.
“Please don’t give me a change of heart Lord, I shall remain a giving being.”
