Mother of Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra State and matriarch of the Obiano family in Aguleri, Mrs Christiana Obiano is dead.

This came in a press statement issued on behalf of Governor Obiano, signed by the state Commissioner for Information and Communication Strategy, Tony Nnachetta.

Mrs. Obiano who was 90 years old died at the Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital, Nnewi on Friday, June 2nd, 2017.

It also said that the Obiano family will make further announcements.

“Our thoughts are with the Obiano family at this time as they mourn the passing of their matriarch. May her kind soul Rest In Peace, Amen”.
