Nigerian musician, Davido has called on Nigerian artistes to render help to people, stressing that “it won’t cost” them anything.
Davido made this call at the 12th edition of the Headies Awards which held on Saturday night, May 5 at the Eko Convention Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos State, Nigeria’s commercial city.
ALEDEH recalls that Davido led with four awards at the Headies, including Artist of the year and Song of the year.
Apart from Davido, Simi and Wizkid also won big. Simi bagged awards in the category of Best R&B Single, Best Recording of the Year and Album of the Year while Wizkid had three awards including Viewers Choice, Best Music Video and Best R&B and Pop Album awards.
Giving his acceptance speech while receiving one of the awards, Davido noted that “we rise by lifting others” and as such Nigerian artistes should help people since they have the money.
“To all Nigerian artistes, anything you can do for people, do it. Una get money. It won’t cost you anything”, the Assurance crooner said.
