The Lagos State Government has banned commercial activities of motorcycles and tricycles in some local government areas of the state.
The local government areas where Okada and Keke activities have been banned are Surulere, Eti Osa, Lagos Island, Ikeja, Lagos Mainland, and Apapa.
According to Jubril Gawat, New Media aide to Governor Babajide Sango-Olu, Ride Hailing companies in these local governments are also affected.
The bikes have been banned because they cause a lot of accidents, according to Gawat.
