Liberian Government has requested Nigerian Government to take urgent steps to prevent the spread of Ebola virus in the West Africa region.
This followed the recent outbreak and resurgence of the deadly virus in Guinea. Democratic Republic of the Congo is also battling the resurgence of the virus.
Recall that Guinea experienced a devastating Ebola scourge between 2014 and 2016.
This resurgence is a major setback, as the world is currently battling Corona Virus, adding Ebola to COVID-19 will deal a big blow to the economy of the West Africa zone.
It would also be recalled that there was an outbreak of Ebola virus in Nigeria on 20th of June, 2014 through a Liberian visitor known as Sawyer, noting that the scourge on Guinea affected Liberia and from there got to Nigeria.
