Embattled Acting EFCC Chairman, Ibrahim Magu has been released on Wednesday, 10 days after he was held in detention at the Force Criminal Investigations Department (FCID), Area 10, Abuja.
Magu was arrested on the 6th of July and has been facing a Presidential panel in the last few days. He was suspended as the Acting Chairman of the EFCC and was replaced by Mohammed Umar on a temporary basis.
The panel led by Justice Ayo Salami has been investigating Magu on allegations of corruption. He was accused of buying a property in Dubai and using proceeds from recovered loots on personal investments.
On Tuesday, he wrote to the Police IG, Mohammed Adamu asking for bail but was redirected to the Presidential panel.
Magu has now moved back to his Abuja residence.
