JUST IN: Nigeria Records 245 New COVID-19 Cases As Pandemic Tolls 7261, Deaths Now 221

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has reported 245 new cases of the novel coronavirus disease, COVID-19, in Nigeria.

In a tweet late Friday evening, the agency disclosed that 10 new deaths were also recorded.

There were also 100 new recoveries recorded across the country.


21 states including the FCT reported new cases.

Lagos State recorded most cases with 131 followed by Jigawa with 16.

Anambra, Gombe, Niger, Ondo, Plateau, Bayelsa and the FCT alll recorded 1 case each.

Kogi and Cross River States are the only states yet to record a case of COVID-19 in Nigeria.

So far, Nigeria has recorded a total of 7261 confirmed cases of the disease.

2007 patients have recovered while 221 have died.
