Nigeria has recorded 649 new cases of COVID-19, the Centre for Disease Control has announced.
Lagos had the highest number of cases with 250 new recorded cases while Oyo had 100. Plateau and Delta states also had 40 cases each as the highest recording states.
The total cases has now risen to 22020 as COVID-19 keeps surging in Nigeria.

There are 7613 patients discharged as at the time of filing this report while 542 lives have been lost to the disease. There are 13865 active cases currently with the death rate standing at 3.42%, an increase from the previous figure of below 3%.
Recovery rate is also standing at 34.5%, an improvement on the less than 30% previously recorded.
Over 120,000 tests have been conducted since Nigeria recorded its first case of COVID-19.
