It’s exactly a week today when we broke the cheery news of the birth of a baby. Born by one of Nigeria’s finest female broadcast-journalist, and Channels TV anchor, Maupe Ogun-Yusuf.
Ever since Maupe and her husband, Mohammed Yusuf welcomed their beautiful Angel on the 14th of November, 2018, in Houston, Texas, the University of Lagos graduate, and popular co-host of the widely followed morning t.v show on Channels Television, Sunrise Daily has been receiving hundreds of congratulatory messages. She told Aledeh she’s “overjoyed and also worried” that she’s not been able to reply many of them. Nigerians have sent their goodwill messages, and words of prayers to the couple on the birth of their daughter.
Maupe also revealed the name of the beautiful Princess added to their family as Grace as a recognition of God’s blessings to their home, as she exclusively sent very beautiful photos of Princess Grace to Aledeh.
She also sent her message of appreciation to Nigerians, and everyone who congratulated her family, through the Publisher of yours truly, Aledeh, as the new mother tries to get herself back to shape.
Maupe Ogun in her heartfelt appreciation wrote;
It was but yesterday we were colleagues when you would tell me that I am in your prayers whenever you go on pilgrimage to Mecca.
I have since got married, and now it’s a week today since a little Princess was gifted to my husband and I. Since then, her father and I have received a deluge of goodwill messages from those who know us and those who watch me on tv, many of whom found out through your platform.
Sadly, I haven’t been able to respond to most of the messages sent to my phone as I’m still trying to find my feet as a new Mum. I intend to respond to all messages received, especially to those sent to my phone.
However, while I catch up on that, her father and I have decided to share with well wishers who got to find out through your platform these very intimate photos. We are sincerely humbled by the outpour of love and goodwill. We also wish to let them know that we’ve named her ‘Grace’ because we acknowledge very deeply that all we are and will ever be are a product of God’s Amazing Grace in our family’s life.
We pray for all those who are seeking His face for one thing or another that the God who has shown us mercy and love will answer their prayers too.
May I also use this time to thank you and your very generous readers on their response on our fundraising for my Sister’s daughter, Baby Carina. Her mum and I might not be related by blood but, as you know, Carina’s maternal family don’t come any more ‘immediate’ than that.
I am sincerely grateful for your intervention and the sincere show of love by Aledeh’s readers to a ‘Neighbour’. May God who sees and knows all reward mightily.
Our thank you to the team at ‘Aledeh’. We got nothing but love for you.
Thanks again and God bless.
“Take your time o. Don’t make a grown man cry. Alhamdl’llah. I’m so so happy and thankful. Amen to your prayers for us. Amen. Soon Mohammed won’t be able to lift her up o. They grow so fast”.
We at ALEDEH congratulate the Ogun family, the Yusuf family and the Channels Tv family again as we wish them more of everything good and marvellous. Happy Thanksgiving
