35-year-old Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour has emerged as the candidate of KOWA party for the forthcoming Chairmanship election in Ikeja local government area, Lagos, Southwest Nigeria.
Rhodes-Vivour, who has a degree in architecture from the University of Nottingham(UK), has lived in Anifowoshe, Ikeja for 30 of his 34 years.
Speaking during one of his campaigns in Lagos recently, Rhodes-Vivour said he is running for the chairmanship position because he wants to improve the standard of living of the Ikeja people.
Rhodes-Vivour, a Master’s degree holder from MIT(USA), returned to Ikeja in 2009 after his studies, with a mission to solve the housing challenges in Nigeria by utilizing innovative and easily accessible materials to create affordable housing.
The KOWA party candidate is a firm believer in social welfare, equity and justice, GRV also known as “the hopeful Nigerian”.
Rhodes-Vivour is a practicing architect, social activist and avid writer; known for his stance against GMO’s in Nigeria and his campaign to bring back “history” as a subject to Nigerian schools.
