Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila has announced that lawmakers will start voting electronically on critical bills and motion.
Gbajabiamila made the disclosure on Thursday on his verified Twitter account, noting that the public can now see how decisions are being made.
Recall that he was elected as the speaker on June 11, 2019, and part of his inaugural promise was to improve and ensure transparency in the activities of the house.
He wrote: “In my June 11th inaugural speech, I spoke about reforming house of representatives.
“I am glad to inform our constituents 3 weeks down the line, we have succeeded in having E-voting/E-Chamber Attendance Register.
“Moving forward Nigerians will see us vote electronically on critical Bills and Motions.
