Members of the All Progressives Congress (APC), UK chapter on Monday staged a solidarity protest to support President Muhammadu Buhari who is currently on a medical vacation in the United Kingdom.
ALEDEH News on Friday reported that Reno Omokri, an aide to former President Goodluck Jonathan spearheaded a #HarassBuhariOutOfLondon protest. He was joined by other Nigerians in front of the President’s residence at the Abuja house in the UK.
Omokri and other protesters demanded that Buhari leave the UK and fix Nigeria’s health sector.
The controversial former presidential aide and his group also insisted that the Nigerian leader is yet to account for the October 20, 2020 incident that resulted in the alleged death of many #EndSARS protesters at the Lekki Toll Gate in Lagos State, South-West Nigeria.
However, on Monday, the Chairman of the APC Uk, Dr Philip Idaewor led other members and converged at the same venue to show solidarity and support for the Buhari-led administration.
“A cross-section of patriotic Nigerians are currently converging at the Nigerian House in the United Kingdom to show solidarity and support for the Muhammadu Buhari led administration,” Garba Shehu, Senior Special Assistant, Media and Publicity, tweeted while sharing pictures and a video of the moment.
