Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Saturday night announced 664 new COVID-19 infections, which takes the total confirmed cases in the country to 31,987.
NCDC reports that the new cases were recorded in 17 states of the federation and FCT.
Giving a breakdown, NCDC said Lagos State recorded the highest number of the day with 224 infections, followed by FCT which reported 105 cases.
Others are; Edo(85), Ondo(64), Kaduna(32), Imo(27), Osun(19), Plateau(17), Oyo(17), Ogun(17), Rivers(14), Delta(11), Adamawa(10), Enugu(7), Nassarawa (6), Gombe(3), Abia(3) and Ekiti(3).
It added that 15 persons died from complications resulting from the virus while 308 persons recovered and were discharged from various isolation centres across the country on Saturday.
Currently, Nigeria’s COVID-19 cases stood at 31,987; 13,103 recoveries and 724 deaths.
