A Facebook user identified only as “T Shine Sisi Eko” has threatened to kidnap people in mass should the Nigerian security agents kill notorious kidnapper, Chukwudi Dumeme Onuamadike, popularly known as Evans.
Recall that the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) paraded Evans and members of his gang on June 12.
The development came after the kidnap kingpin was arrested in his mansion in Magodo estate in Lagos on Saturday, June 10 by the police Joint Special Forces led by the Intelligence Response Team, the Lagos State Police Command’s Anti-Kidnapping Unit and Technical and Intelligent Unit of the Force under the supervision of the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State.
Ever since the notorious kidnapper was arrested by the police, mixed reactions has continued to trail his arrest.
While some Nigerians have called on the Federal Government to give Evans a life sentence in prison, his wife, Uchenna Precious Onwuamadike has however called on the Federal Government to have mercy on her husband.
In an interview with Vanguard newspaper, Onwuamadike said she was ready to come back to Nigeria from her base to plead on behalf of her husband, adding that the news came as a shock to her.
In her words, “I am appealing to the powers that be to spare his life (crying), as I speak now, I am kneeling down with my children, crying and begging for forgiveness.
“Have mercy on us. He did not know what he was doing. He did not know what came over him. I am ready to come back to Nigeria and plead on his behalf. What I am reading in the news is shocking.
“Though, I have not heard that he killed anybody but all those he injured or took their money should please forgive him because me and my children.
“They should kindly forgive him, he will repent. God knows I will not be alive and see my husband doing bad thing and keep quiet. All his wealth should be sold off and given to his victims” she said.
While Evans wife has pleaded for mercy, “T Shine Sisi Eko” in the other hand has threatened to ” kill uncountable souls” if anything happens to the kidnap kingpin.
The apparently furious Facebook user wrote: “Nigeria is so useless. I don’t know this man but I don’t jst want him dead. And if he mistakenly got killed by stupid Nigeria gov on Sunday,I swear me T SHINE SISI EK, will replace him and I must kill uncountable souls, Bet me.
“When Obj wiped bayelsa because of oil.money who.killed him?? Wen baba killed Dele giwa who killed him… Make una forget corruption is old in Nigeria.
“Is Evans more deadly than kabiru sokoto?or more a criminal than,Ameachi,thinubu,saraki,lai mohammed,buhari,other politicians,from all his confession did anybody had that he ve killied any one?they should free him jor! come to think of it,it’s the useless one sided govrment of zoo that turn him to a criminal over night by sizing his continer”.
