On Saturday, a homecoming party was held to honour Grammy award-winning artiste, Damini Ogulu (Burna Boy) in Rivers State Southern Nigeria.
Governor of the State, Nyesom Wike who was also present at the event, announced that Burna Boy and every other artistes that performed at the event will walk away with N10 million each.
Wike was also said to have gifted a plot of land to Burna Boy so he can build a house for himself.
The Governor’s announcement comes weeks after teachers in the state protested over the non-payment of salaries.
Also, in the viral video, Wike and other persons at the event flouted the COVID-19 protocols after several pleas from the Presidential Task Force (PTF) on COVID-19 to avoid the third wave which some nations are already battling.
