Nigeria’s COVID-19 Cases Rise To 29,286 With 575 New Infections, Deaths Now 654

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) says Nigeria has recorded 575 cases of the novel coronavirus disease, COVID-19.

The centre made the announcement in its daily update on Monday.

It noted that, in the last 24 hours, 163 patients were discharged after their recovery from the disease.

 

However, 9 new deaths were also recorded across the country.

 

19 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) reported new cases on Monday.

According to NCDC, Lagos recorded the highest number of cases with 123.

Also, FCT recorded 100 new cases, while Delta recorded 58 new cases.

Others are Edo(52), Ogun(42), Katsina(24), Bayelsa(23), Rivers(22), Borno(19), Plateau(18), Ondo(18), Oyo(17), Kwara(15), Osun(13), Enugu(9), Nasarawa (7), Abia(6), Cross River(5), Kaduna(3), and Ekiti(1).

So far, 29,286 cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in Nigeria.

While 11,828 cases have been discharged after their recovery, 654 persons have lost their lives to the disease.
