Ogun: APM Rejects Results Of Gov’ship Polls

The Allied Peoples Movement (APM) has rejected the election results being announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission in Ogun State.

The APM Campaign Director General, Sarafa Ishola, made this known on Sunday at the party’s secretariat at Leme, Abeokuta.

Ishola said the election was peaceful on Saturday, until it was hijacked by hoodlums and some ”uniformed men” that were not identified. The hijack according to Ishola happened during collation of results.

He said the party has rejected the results because they were manipulated.

Ishola stated that the APM had petitioned INEC in the state to investigate the “infractions” and stop announcement of results forthwith.

The DG expressed concern that, despite the complaints, the INEC has refused to listen to its complaints and has gone ahead to announce the results.

Ishola said the APM is not accepting the results as being announced, declaring that “it was hijacked, compromised and did not reflect the wishes of Ogun people.”

“The people of Ogun state has been raped,” Akinlade declared, saying hey will seek all legal means to “undo the injustice.”
