Osinbajo To Attend Extraordinary ECOWAS Summit In Niger

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo will depart Abuja Friday for Niger to attend an Extraordinary summit of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).

Osinbajo will represent President Muhammadu Buhari at the summit.

This was disclosed by Senior Special Assistant to the Vice President (Media & Publicity), Laolu Akande, in a tweet on his verified Twitter handle.

Akande said the vice president is expected to be back in the country later today (Friday).

“VP Osinbajo to represent President Buhari today in Niger where an Extraordinary ECOWAS summit is holding to review the ongoing situation in Guinea Bissau.

“He will depart Abuja this morning and return later today,” he tweeted.
