Over 30 Manchester United Fans Electrocuted In Cross River


No fewer than thirty (30) supporters of Manchester United football club of England were feared dead on Thursday night at a viewing center in Calabar, Cross River State.

According to report, the football fans were electrocuted by a high tension cable that reportedly fell on them at a viewing centre in Akpandem Street, Atimbo area of the state.

The Red Devils supporters were watching the Europa League quarter-final match between Manchester United and Anderlecht when the electrical cable fell on them.

The Police Public Relations Officer, Cross River State Command, Irene Ugbo, confirmed the incident, saying that the number of casualties would be confirmed on Friday (today).

Meanwhile, Manchester United booked their place in the semi-final of the Europa league after they won the match 3-2.
