#politicalstewng: Rich Nigerians Doing What Government Should Have Done – Robert Clarke

A former attorney to several Heads of State in Nigeria, Robert Clarke, SAN, says rich Nigerians are “factually doing what government should have done”.

“The only thing we have seen in Nigeria today is that individuals overnight are becoming so rich and they are factually doing what government should have done”, Clarke said.

The octogenarian who made this comment on Tuesday, June 12 on “Political Stew“, a live political talk show on Television Continental anchored by Sulaiman Aledeh, noted that this is because the 1999 constitution has not helped Nigeria after eighteen (18) years of running it.

“The 1999 constitution we have is a rotten egg, it is not a constitution made by the people or was it made for the people and so, therefore, it can never serve the purpose of helping the people and we have seen it today after 18 years of running this constitution, it has not helped you and I”, Clarke said.
