Ramadan: Attaining Piety In The Last Ten Days


Itikaaf, an Islamic practice encouraged by Allah and his messenger Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) means staying in a mosque for a certain period with total indulgence in act of worship.

Wife of the Prophet Muhammad, Aisha (May Allah be Pleased With Her) said “the prophet used to observe Itikaaf during the last ten days of Ramadan until Allah took his soul, then his wives observed Itikaaf after he was gone.”

Scholars of Islam have said Itikaaf offers an immense hidden benefits especially for a fasting person.

In order to have an effective performance of Itikaaf during the last ten days of this holy month of Ramadan, Peace Estate Muslim Community Central Mosque says it has put in place necessary facilities for Muslims.
