Nigerians have reacted to the return of some female students of Government Girls Science Technical College, Dapchi, Yobe, northern Nigeria who were abducted by Boko-Haram insurgents.
ALEDEH had reported earlier that some of the abducted Dapchi school girls regained their freedom on Wednesday morning, March 21.
Mr Modu Dapchi, one of the parents of the abducted girls spoke to our reporter and was overjoyed to see her child again while one of the girls confirmed the death of one of the abducted school girls.
This online medium recalls that Boko Haram terrorists raided Government Girls Science Technical College, Dapchi, Yobe on Monday, February 19 and abducted some of the girls.
Three (3) weeks ago, Aisha Wakil, better known as “Mama Boko Haram”, said the schoolgirls abducted by Boko-Haram insurgents were safe with one Habib, whom she identified as her son.
The human rights activist had also revealed that the Musab al-Barnawi faction of the Boko Haram sect kidnapped the 110 girls.
On Wednesday, ALEDEH’s Northern bureau chief, Gbenga Akingbule confirmed the return of the schoolgirls with a parent expressing her joy with the freedom of her daughter.
Moments after the news broke that some of the abducted girls have regained their freedom, Nigerians took to the micro-blogging site, Twitter to react on the matter.
Read some of the reactions below:
We bless God for the return of the Dapchi girls… But the question remains how?
How were they returned?
How many terrorists were exchanged?
How much money was given?
Was it an unconditional release?

How did boko haram returned the dapchi girls without any of our security details engaging the terrorists and apprehend them?
— CHIGOZIE OBIECHINA (@batnover) March 21, 2018
I hope dis dapchi case isn’t a planned work by a certain person/people trying to paint a good picture of themselves becuz 2019elections. Hence exploiting the innocent dapchi girls …smh. Nothing is beyond our so called leaders.

The girls were driven back to Dapchi by BH? As in returned……
Thank God they are back.
Doesn’t add up at all.

Nothing more comforting and worth celebrating than the return of the abducted #Dapchi Girls. Last week PMB promised to rescue and reunite them with their Parents, Alhamdulillah he has done exactly that.

And the cure will continue to be purchased and the coffers of the terrorist will swell the more and then one day they will launch an attack that there will be no cure for. So what we need is a total cure, not this mediocrity by the fg in dapchi

Once upon a time in a country where it’s President is never aware. Boko Haram kidnapped 110 Dapchi Girls for few days, and later released them without ransom, but no one has seen any of the girls.

— Dappa Brown (@Dappab) March 21, 2018
Boko Haram drove to dapchi, didn’t kill anyone, didn’t destroy properties, asked for directions to #DapchiGirls school, loaded the girls into their vehicles & left. Few weeks later, BH drove back, returned the girls and left.
This same Boko Haram we’ve been battling since?
— Sani (@SaniKadiri) March 21, 2018
Congratulations APC and Buhari on the timely rescue of the Dapchi girls! PDP and Jonathan couldn’t rescue the Chibok girls!

Boko Haram Returns Kidnapped School Girls In Dapchi, Five Dead
Nigerian Islamist militant group, Boko Haram today returned 105 girls kidnapped from high school compound in Dapchi a few weeks ago.The militant group came with the girls in 9 vehicles same way they took them away

The truth is no matter what happens, Either the government paid the ransom or not, there will always be different opinions on how to rescue those dapchi girls.
I’m concerned about the result. Human life outweighs politics

Information gathered has it dat Shuaibu Liel is d only Dapchi girl not released by Boko Haram dis morning. Reason given by Boko haram is dat Shuaibu liel is a Christian and she refused to convert to Islam. father Shuaibu Umar spoke live on raypower political platform dis morning

If you believe @mbuhari that the girls from #Dapchi were actually kidnapped by bokoharam and then returned in 21 days, then you can believe anything. Army withdrew prior to the abduction and now he secure their release in less than a month? Arrangee govt!!!
— ComradeFRIDAYaNiEkAn (@andyrado) March 21, 2018
They released Dapchi girls like when your older brother is the one who goes to collect your ball back. Too easy.
— Patrick. (@Nofstnme) March 21, 2018
Apparently Dapchi girls are back and 5 are dead. I have questions
1. Why did Boko release at once?
2. Why are five dead?
3. What deal was made?
4. How did Boko drive back into Dapchi in 9 vehicles when the town should be fully fortified on land and air?
— #Saltdemgang (@Nenkinandeshi) March 21, 2018
Hahahaha. This table you are shaking… well that’s the Dapchi deal. It’s been sealed and the kids have been released without resistance . Soon we will know how many million dollars Buhari kept aside for this project/deal
— James (@JamesLantern2) March 21, 2018
Truth cannot be suppressed forever. One day it will come to the fore.
