The Special Adviser to the Senate President on New Media, Bamikole Omisore, has berated the Publisher of Sahara Reporters, Omoyele Sowore over a report published on his platform that Saraki reportedly bribed the Chairman of the Code of Conduct Tribunal, Justice Danladi Umar to deliver a judgment in his favour.
Recall that the Code of Conduct Tribunal sitting in Abuja, the nation’s capital had on Wednesday, June 14, dismissed all 18-count charges of false asset declaration leveled against the Senate President.
Presiding over the matter, the chairman of the tribunal, held that the prosecution did not prove its case against the accused person, adding that the testimonies of four witnesses presented by the prosecution were discredited, and as a result were unreliable.
However, before the judgment was delivered, Sahara Reporters had predicted the outcome of the judgment on micro blogging site, Twitter on Tuesday, June 13 that the CCT will absolve Mr. Saraki.
The online newspaper tweeted: ” FLASH: Code of Conduct Tribunal to give a ruling on ‘s “No-case” filing tomorrow as Saraki brags that everything is “settled”.

Reacting to the tweet, Saraki’s aide wrote: ” Nigerians are smarter than this your “fake news” I challenge you to provide any evidence to this false accusation. U WILL DO ANYTHING FOR $$”.

The online media platform also alleged that the $2m bribe to Justice Danladi Umar was facilitated by Ex-Bauchi Gov Isah Yuguda.

Responding to the allegations, Saraki’s aide stressed that Sahara Reporters publisher, Omoyele Sowore had approached his principal for a $1m bribe before the judgment on Wednesday, June 14.
Twitter is not court of law. For one individual to DEMAND 1 MILLION U.S DOLLARS or he will rubbish a judgement is INSANE. God big pass YOU

I'm sure if the prosecution had a case or we paid as demanded. I'm sure it will be justice even with same judges in your eyes
