Senate Postpones Passage Of 2019 Appropriation

The Senate on Wednesday postponed passage of the 2019 Appropriation Bill till Tuesday next week.

Saraki’s order is sequel to the absence of the chairman of the Senate committee on appropriations, Danjuma Goje and his vice Sunday Ogbuoji, at plenary.

However, It is not clear why Goje and Ogbuoji were absent despite the fact that the budget report was listed for consideration on the order paper.

But Bukola has directed that copies of the details be made available to lawmakers by Monday.

“I have directed the clerk to make details of the budget available to everyone latest by Monday so that we will have the copy of the report when it is passed the next day,” he said.
