Nigeria and Bordeaux Winger, Samuel Kalu has tested positive for COVID-19.
Kalu has since been placed under quarantine in his house in France.
According to the AFP, he was held in Nigeria for some weeks before finally getting the all clear to travel to his base in Europe.
He has been separated from the rest of the squad as they prepare for the beginning of the preseason which has been slated to begin on the 27th of July.
Kalu’s next test is expected to be negative.
The winger is the second Super Eagles player to test positive for COVID-19, after Paul Onuachu tested contracted and recovered from the virus.
