Electronic singer, Avicii has died on Friday, April 20th in Muscat, the Omani capital. This was confirmed by his publicist, Ebba Lindqvist who announced the remixer and star DJ’s death.
Avicii, named Tim Bergling had just received a Billboard nomination for his newly released EP, “Avicii 01”.
A breakdown of Avicii’s career was aptly captured by Wikipedia who wrote that; Bergling was ranked third on DJ Mag in 2012 and 2013 and has been nominated twice for a Grammy Award, once for his work on “Sunshine” with David Guetta in 2012 and once for his song “Levels” in 2013. Some of his most famous songs are “I Could Be the One” with Nicky Romero, “Wake Me Up“, “You Make Me“, “X You“, “Hey Brother“, “Addicted to You“, “The Days“, “The Nights“, “Levels“, “Waiting for Love“, “Without You” and “Lonely Together“. He released his debut studio album, True, in 2013.
He was also involved in charity works in Africa where he has made many donations to charity organisations who help in feeding school children. Avicii died at 28 and encomiums have poured in for the beautiful singer whose music was particularly unique and special.
