UNIBEN’s Successful Alumni Series(Part 24)

The University of Benin, one of Nigeria’s most respected, and foremost institutions has never rested on its oars in the production of quality graduates, who have gone on to become great, and successful in their endeavours.

As part of a way to keep the public informed, and aware about the exploits of the university’s many products, a successful alumni series has been drawn to celebrate the university, and its products.

In this series, the focus is on two individuals who have earned a reputation for brilliance in their chosen careers, they are;

PROF. EMMANUEL ALUYOR is the pioneer and current Vice Chancellor of Edo University, Iyamho.

He holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical Engineering from the Faculty of Engineering, University of Benin.

Prof. Emmanuel Aluyor

Prof Aluyor also doubles as a professor in the Faculty of Engineering, University of Benin. He’s one of the several professors currently in the employ of the University of Benin serving as Vice Chancellors/Rectors/Provosts in other tertiary institutions in the country.
He’s an expert in Water and Wastewater Treatment, Bioremediation, Biodegradation, & Environmental Bioremediation.

OWEN OMOGIAFO is the Executive Director of Transnational Corporation of Nigeria PLC (Transcorp). On January 1, 2019 she will resume as the new MD/CEO of Transcorp Hotels Plc.

She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Sociology and Anthropology from the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Benin.

Mrs. Owen Omogiafo

Until her recent appointment, Mrs. Omogiafo was the Chief Operating Officer of the Tony Elumelu Foundation.

Her work experience includes Director of Human Resources, Chief of Staff, HR Advisor to the GMD/CEO at UBA and as an Organisation, Human Performance Consultant at Accenture and Relationship Manager at Bond Bank.
