” We wouldn’t have been able to enrich so many Nigerians without the help of our sponsor @MTNNG So we say THANK YOU! #WWTBAM.

Shout out to @frankedoho for holding things down like a boss for 13 years! To say his persona added spice to #WWTBAM is an understatement

“Sadly, we are going on a break cos our sponsor pulled out. But we thank @MTNNG for being with us all these years. Please thank them for us”.

Meanwhile, ALEDEH recalls that ECO-NET (now Airtel Nigeria), were in charge of the sponsorship of the game show before MTN Nigeria came on board.

A source who is a major player in the telecom company, told ALEDEH that MTN’s decision to pull out of the sponsorship might not be unconnected with the $1.671-billion fine imposed on it by the Nigerian government in 2016, adding that the company would have maintained its sponsorship status if not for the fine.

However, since the inception of the show, over seven Nigerians have won N5 million and above.

In 2009, Osazuwa Osahon Daniels won N5 million, that same year Aroma Ufodike Chimuanya won N10 million.

A year later, Babatunde Oni Oladipo won N5 million, two years later Nnaemeka Ubaekwena won N5 million, followed by Winifred E. Karieren who became the first female to win N5 million that same year.

Similarly Sammy Abraham won N5 million in 2013 and Olalowo Olatokun completed the list of people who have won N5 million above in 2014.

Though MTN Nigeria has pulled out of the sponsorship deal, a reliable source told ALEDEH that some sponsors are already scrambling to snap up the popular family game show but are still in talks with the management of the game show.
